Homemade Playdough Recipe

My sanity for tomorrow starts tonight, with homemade Playdough for tomorrow's adventures.

This is a widely known recipe for homemade Playdough. It smells & feels just like the PlayDoh brand.
Ingredients:
-3 cups of flour
-2 Tablespoons of Vegetable Oil or Canola Oil
-3 Cups of Water
-1 Tablespoon of Cream of Tartar
-1 1/2 Cups of Salt
-Food Coloring(Jell-O Mix, or Kool-Aid Packet can be used to color)

Mix all of the ingredients in a large pot.
Begin cooking on Medium-Low heat. (I left my stovetop temperature inbetween the 2.5, and 3.)
Stir frequently. (Towards the end you will be constantly stirring because the mixture will feel as if it is sticking to the bottom.)

The mixture will start pulling away from the sides of the pan in about 10-15 minutes, and will feel almost impossible to stir.
When the mixture looks like the picture above, remove from heat.
Let the mixture sit, and cool.

Remove the mixture from pot, and place on a piece of wax paper.
Start kneading it until it looks smooth like the above picture.

P.S. If your mixture feels a bit sticky, and not so playdough-like, DO NOT FRET :), stick it in the fridge after kneading for a quick consistency change.

This will be tomorrow's adventures for my little ones. Every child is different, so I will be updating you all on how long my children were entertained, and the outcome of their playdough creations. :)

-Hooray for sanity adventures!
